WHAT
IS BODHI?
Realising the interdependence of all beings is in our enlightened self-interest. If we don't work together to reduce the world's much-discussed problems, then who will? We try to utilise skillful means in helping sentient beings, in the developed as well as the developing world.
BODHI,
founded in 1989, is based in both the United States and Australia.

Objectives
BODHI is an organisation which provides a framework for altruistic people
worldwide who are not comfortable working in traditional religious or
secular organisations. No religious affiliation is necessary to work with
BODHI. We ask only for a kind heart.

Almost all work done for BODHI is voluntary

(Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, atheist and we hope, in time, other).
Again, we stress that no religious affiliation is necessary to work
with BODHI; and

We are a uniquely structured international organisation. Autonomous
organisations have been formed in the U.S. and Australia, with donors
worldwide.

Donations
are fully tax-deductible in both the United States and Australia
BODHI
Australia is classified as a deductible gift recipient
(DGR) as an overseas relief fund and as an income tax exempt
charity (ITEC).
Australian
tax-payers: Cheques to BODHI Australia Overseas Relief Fund
are tax-deductible, as are any credit card donations. Cheques to
BODHI Australia are welcome but not tax-deductible.
U.S.
tax-payers: All donations are tax-deductible
in any form.
