PRIVACY POLICY
BODHI is committed to ensuring the
privacy of the information you provide.
Holding of Personal Information
We collect and securely maintain
personal details relevant to how we can work with you to further BODHI's
aims. This includes (if you have provided) your name, address, telephone
and fax numbers and your email address. We also keep a copy of your
credit card number (if sent). This is occasionally useful, if for example,
we have trouble deciphering any handwriting in regard to a subsequent
donation.
Credit card details are held in a password-protected
file on a computer which does not connect to the internet; back-up files
(also password-protected) are held on a memory stick and back-up hard
drive.
We neither sell, rent, exchange or
in any way divulge the email or postal addresses of our donors or other
supporters. However, from time to time, we acknowledge the name, title,
state and country of some of our supporters. We do this only with your
permission, and are happy to reduce identifying details if you wish,
eg Dr Bob Smith, NC, USA could simply be written as Mr Smith. The granting
of a donation, or provision of any other form of help does not automatically
mean we will acknowledge you in the newsletter, but if we would like
to we will obtain permission before so doing. To save administration
please notify us on the form that accompanies your donation if you wish
for total anonymity.
Keeping
details accurate and up-to-date
After being advised of any change,
personal details that we record are rapidly updated. Please advise us
of any errors or changes in your personal details.
Accessing your information
You have the right to access the
personal information we store about you. If you wish to access this
please contact us as outlined below.
BODHI website
The BODHI website may contain links
to other websites whose operator may or may not adhere to a privacy
policy or be governed by the National Privacy Principles. No personal
information about BODHI donors is provided on the website, other than
in the newsletters, which we reproduce as pdfs.
